A Few Questions Worth Asking This Week…

What is your passion?
What is your drive?

It sounds simple… but most people never truly stop to answer it.

They wake up.
They go through the motions.
They check the boxes.

But there’s no fire. No urgency. No intentional direction.

And over time, life becomes… routine.

The Hidden Danger of the Pullback Phase

In the SlingShot Principles, Phase I — The Pullback — is where most people lose it.

Not because they lack ability.
But because they lose passion and drive.

Life starts to feel mundane.
Progress feels slow.
Results aren’t visible yet.

And without a clear internal fire… people drift.

External vs. Internal Drive

Here’s the critical distinction:

External Drive:

  • Competing with others

  • Comparing results

  • Chasing validation

Internal Drive (The SlingShot Way):

  • Competing with yourself

  • Becoming better than yesterday

  • Measuring progress over time

The most powerful drive is internal.

That kind of drive doesn’t disappear when things get hard.

The Alignment Factor (Phase II)

This is where Phase II — Alignment becomes critical.

You must:

  • Clarify your focus

  • Define your direction

  • Reinforce your purpose

Because alignment fuels endurance.

And endurance is what carries you through the pullback.

This Week’s Challenge

Ask yourself—honestly:

  • What truly drives me?

  • Is my motivation internal… or external?

  • Where have I lost focus or intensity?

  • What would it look like to improve—just slightly—this week?

Then act on it.

Not perfectly.
Just intentionally.

Final Thought

Most people quit in Phase I.

Not because they couldn’t succeed…

…but because they lost their drive before the launch.
