A Season Worth Remembering — Warren County Tennis 2026

“You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.” — Michael Phelps

There are seasons you enjoy… and then there are seasons you remember for a lifetime.

This year’s boys and girls tennis teams from Warren County High School delivered something truly special. From the very first matches of the season to the final serves at the regional tournament held at Page High School in Franklin, this group showed what it looks like to commit, compete, and grow together.

The season came to a close yesterday with three tough losses at regionals. Not the outcome we had hoped for—but that doesn’t define what this team accomplished.

In fact, it may have been one of the best seasons in nearly 40 years.

Dominating the regular season.
Advancing through the district tournament with top finishes.
Earning the right to compete at the regional level.

That doesn’t happen by accident.

It happens through early mornings, long practices, repetition, discipline, and a willingness to push through when things get hard. It happens when a group of athletes commits to something bigger than themselves.

This team did exactly that.

A special recognition goes out to the three seniors who closed out their high school careers:

  • Brett Peterson

  • Josh Caten

  • Abby Graves

These athletes didn’t just contribute—they helped lead. They set the tone. They represented what it means to compete with integrity and effort. Their impact on this program will last far beyond this season.

And to every teammate who stepped onto the court this year—whether in district play, regionals, or throughout the regular season—you were part of something meaningful. You were part of a team that raised the standard.

What stands out most isn’t just the wins.

It’s the work.

The hours spent practicing.
The resilience built through tough matches.
The camaraderie that forms when a team goes all-in.

Those are the things that matter. Those are the things that last.

At the end of the day, this team can hang its hat on something very real: they gave it everything they had.

And that’s what makes it a great season.

Congratulations to the entire Warren County boys and girls tennis teams. It was truly something special to watch.
